Wayanadu Trip(Part Two)

After a long gap I am writing my second part about Wayanadu Trip.

Muthunga Wildlife Sanctuary:

We reached our cottage at around 5:00 PM in the evening.As our cottage was near this Wildlife Sanctuary,at first we went to this Wildlife sanctuary.In cottage itself they arranged for Safari to pick up us.Only Safari(Jeep) was allowed inside Wildlife Sanctuary.You can see lively lot of deer,Bison,elephants and much more.They were taking us around 20Kms inside the forest in Safari.Within this limit if you have luck you can see Tiger also.
After this we had nice dinner and sleep.

Edakkal Caves:

The next day morning we went to Edakkal caves.It was also a great place,people who like Trekking will love this place.
Inside the caves you can see some ancient drawings on the rocks.Those drawings are revealing some story,but truly we didn't understand anything from that.
But overall it was a nice place.

Kuruva Island:

After coming out of Edakkal caves we went to Kuruva Island.The way to this Island is little bit trick.Due to heavy rainfall we were not able to cross the river to reach Island.The way to this island was little bit thrilling,because you cannot find any houses nearby and beside the roads full of bamboo trees.

Wayanadu Trip(Part One)

We had a very nice weekend at Wayanadu(Kerala).It was a long weekend and so we have planned for Hill station trip.Finally we had chosen Wayanadu.There was a big dilemma in choosing the route to reach Wayanadu from Chennai.The shortest path to reach Wayanadu from chennai is via Mysore.But we thought we need to pay for two state permits(Kerala & Karanataka).So we have chosen the following route.

Chennai-->Krishnagiri-->Dharamapuri-->Mettur-->

Bavani-->Coimbatore-->Palghat-->Kozhikode-->

Kalpetta(Wayanadu District)

We thought it was also somewhat same distance as Mysore route.But it took around 20 hours(900 Kms) to reach Kalpetta(Wayanadu).In this route roads are superb but the distance is too much.If you are great lover of nature then you will definitely enjoy the sight seeing.I enjoyed a lot.We stayed there at Muthunga Wild life Sanctuary.It was a nice cottage(MyKara Home) which resides inside the Muthunga Forest.

As this cottage resides inside the forest ,you can't find any shops near this cottage. So you have to take your food in the cottage.But you can get some good foods in the cottage itself.

You can find lot of dears roaming near this cottage.If you have luck you can find Tiger also :-).

After reaching there we went to few places like Muthunga Wild Life Sanctuary,Edakkal Caves,Kuruva Island etc.,

This weekend I had downloaded the Wall-E movie from Internet and watched it.This is once again a great movie from PIXAR(Best animation film studio).

Their creativity is amazing.

Really you guys will enjoy it while watching this movie.Don't Miss it.
